📝 Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1

Boil water fresh, use at 96°C (just 15 seconds off boil)

  2. 2

Set Aeropress in STANDARD position (right-side up) with wet filter

  3. 3

Add 15g of finely ground light roast coffee

  4. 4

Pour 50g water for bloom, stir 5 times gently, wait 30 seconds

  5. 5

At 0:30, pour remaining 190g water slowly in circular motion

  6. 6

DO NOT stir after main pour - let it steep undisturbed

  7. 7

At 1:30 total time, begin pressing very gently

  8. 8

Press for 60 seconds - aim for 2:30 total time from first pour

  9. 9

Stop pressing when you hear hissing

  10. 10

Let coffee cool 3 minutes before drinking to taste full flavor

💡 Pro Tips

  • Light roasts NEED hot water (95-98°C) to extract properly
  • If tastes sour/grassy, grind finer or increase temp to 97°C
  • Ethiopian and Kenyan beans shine with this method
  • Don't rush the press - slow press = better clarity
